Tearfund carbon fast

The above is a link to something which i got through on email this morning! The Bishop of London is doing it apparantly!

Anyway I thought it looked pretty achievable and it is the sort of thing i could probably then get into the habit of doing all the time which would be no bad thing for the climate!

I can highly recomend H.Nouwens book. I read it a while back and it has informed much of my thinking about lonliness and hospitality. Here's a quote I like:
'Hospitality, therefore, means primarily the creation of free space where the stranger can enter and become a friend instead of an enemy. Hospitality is not to change people, but to offer them a space where change can take place.'
