Starchasers videos
From time to time we like to use videos to help get our point across at Starchasers. While they may not be threatening to gate-crash the Oscars just yet we’ve had fun making them, the kids have fun watching them and they’re a great way to get across the gospel to the kids.
So here, bought together for the first-time, are the Starchasers videos.
All about Starchasers
The Starchasers’ leaders talk about Starchasers – what do they like about it, why do they do it and how we could make it better. You’ll also discover Gilly’s obsession with cakes and Rene trying to make his dad (Shan) look silly while interviewing him.
This video is too long for YouTube so to see it please click here.
Changes
This is a video we made for the 2008 Year 6 Leavers’ Service. The aim was to show how much things have changed since they started school and how much some of the people they know have changed over the years. They were about to go through one of the biggest changes in their life and we wanted them to see that change is important in growing and developing and progressing.
And in the midst of all this change they can still trust God. He doesn’t change. His love is eternal. His love lasts forever.
The Parable of J. Mortley & Sons:
This video was used to introduce our “Life to the MAX” (John 10v10) series and we used it in the first session to show what life was like without God. It is based on the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 5v11-32) and on Ecclesiastes 2v1-11.
Follow the white dog:
What message were we trying to get across in this video? Nothing really (if you think there is some deep meaning hidden in there then perhaps you’re looking too hard). It was just a different way to start an All-age service at All Saints that Starchasers were leading.
Follow the white dog Mark II:
They say that sequels are never as good as the original. Judge for yourself in this remake for an All-Age service at St. Andrew’s Church.
Conquering Ang-ell Torr:
This video was used during our series on the Lost Parables that Jesus told. The main point was to show what can happen when we think we know best.
Looking for a Hero:
Every year we have a Superheroes party and this is a video we showed at one of these. The video shows our attempts to find our hero, Gareth Gates (he was famous back then). However, when it comes to the true hero, God, we don’t need to find Him as He came to find us.
And be sure to look out for more releases from the “Don’t call us, we’ll call you” studio in the future.
