Here are my recommendations:

A great start to the day - 5-10 minute podcast to get you thinking and parying: http://www.pray-as-you-go.org/

The Bored-Again Christian - “Post-contemporary and truly alternative Christian music that extends beyond traditional praise and worship and is held to a higher standard of aesthetic appeal and artistic craftsmanship.”

And I always find Brian Mclaren’s books - I haven’t really explored this website yet though:

John Piper at http://www.desiringgod.org is always challenging and has about 25 years worth of sermons and thoughts!

Am currently reading “Ordering your private world” by Gordon MacDonald - it is v. good indeed.

Am loving Oswald Chambers’ “My utmost for His highest”, split into daily readings, so inspiring. Can even view it online at http://www.myutmost.org/

Greeeaaat!!!

I’ll second Garmon in recommending Brian McLaren, ‘The Secret message of Jesus’ in particular. I’d also recommend ‘The Shaping of things to come’, by Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch, a book that is one of the main reasons I still go to church.

Amazing site for a local mental health and Christian thingy happening:

A blog on the above site (see link below) has some interesting articles with a fair few dollops of creative outpouring as well as many current cultural issues alongside mental health do dars:

I especially love the massive face painting on the outside of a house in Notting Hill and the thoughts the blogger has on reflection of it.

Along with a few other possible email subscription options, these are Charles Spurgeon’s morning and evening scripture/reflections sent in one email to your inbox every day, mmm, spiritual food, yum!
