Jesus – God made man – lived a life of compassion and service. His teachings were centred on radical hospitality and generosity. And when He was asked about God’s greatest commandment, He told us to love God and love our neighbours, for ‘all the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments’ (Matthew 22:36-40).
We take Jesus’ call to neighbour love very seriously at Church on the Corner! We believe it requires us to work practically for the common good – building resilient community, fighting poverty, uplifting the marginalised, and challenging injustice in Barnsbury Parish and beyond.

Cosy Corner
Cosy Corner is our weekly community cafe where local neighbours gather for coffee and cake, activities and crafts, and a hot lunch. All welcome!

Arts on the Corner
A monthly time of creativity – with every session based around a different theme or artistic technique – Arts on the Corner is a great place to build connections in a peaceful and welcoming environment.

Choir on the Corner
Our weekly community choir, open to all levels. Choirmaster Jack’s motto: if you can’t sing, you can have fun trying! The choir performs at community and church events throughout the year.

The Haven Supper Club
A monthly dinner where refugees, asylum seekers, and people new to the UK can get to know local neighbours. The heart of The Haven is a live music performance from refugee or migrant musicians – we have sung and danced to Congolese, Brazilian, Iranian, Irish, Roma and many other tunes!
Our aim is to facilitate refugee/asylum seeker integration through friendships and shared experiences. If you or someone you know would like to join The Haven community – whether you’re from the refugee community or a local neighbour – email fergus@churchonthecorner.org.uk to find out more.

Meals for Hope
In an increasingly polarised society, we think the Church has a vital role in bringing neighbours together across difference to forge a more hopeful future one friendship at a time. That’s why, every season, we host a massive Meal for Hope at our local community centre – complete with delicious food, collaborative crafts, live music, and a raffle! All welcome.
When: The next ‘Meal for Hope’ is on Friday October 16th, 5pm – 8.30pm
