Jobs 2011

We are pleased to say, this vacancy is now filled.

We will be saying goodbye to Bee this summer, as she goes off to Theological college to prepare for ordination. And that means we are looking to appoint a new part time administrator. We are aiming to make the job flexible – so it can be fitted in around school hours for example, but are looking for someone with excellent organisation skills, and good experience of office management.

Islington, London

18 hours per week

Church on the Corner is a new church in an old pub on a street corner in Islington, London. It is an Anglican church, part of the local parish, with an emphasis on biblical Christianity, on culture, on social justice and on creativity and the arts. Services are simple, thoughtful, and provocative. Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary, and perhaps our greatest resource is the people who make up the community. We are deeply rooted in our local area, committed to serving the place that we live in. We are not a big church, and have no desire to be one, we want to be an authentic local church and a small part of the kingdom of God.

We are looking for a part time administrator with excellent skills of communication and organisation to bring order to our office, to manage our volunteers, finances and building. You will be a person with confidence to work under your own initiative, take on varied and complex tasks. Attention to detail,  ability to prioritise and to work to deadlines is essential.

We can offer flexible working, that can be made to fit school hours, in a creative and friendly environment and a competitive salary.
