As a church we are committed to the good news of Jesus and serving our community in many ways through volunteering, giving and governance. We encourage all our congregations to get stuck in and serve in one way or another.
As a local Anglican church, our Mission is shaped around the ‘5 Marks of Mission’. To tell, teach, tend, transform and to treasure:
To tell, by proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom
To teach, by baptising and nurturing new members
To tend, by responding to human need through loving service
To transform, to seek to change unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation
To treasure, by striving to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
Our Mission like most things in life is a work in progress, we haven’t got everything right and haven’t got all the answers, but the 5 Marks of Mission guide what we try to do

We are a founder member of Islington Giving – an excellent organisation that fundraises for and supports many local charities.

Charis Islington offers bereavement support to children, and runs cold weather shelters for homeless people during the winter months. We have a very long standing relationship with them, and hugely value their work.

Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants is a long standing church based refugee project, which we are proud to support.
